Visual Check of Drain Holes for Clogging

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or the slats.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable drain holes at zones 533(633), 532(632) or 531(631).

A. Visual Check of the Drain Holes for Clogging
(1) Examine the drain holes in the flap track fairing for blockage. If the drain holes are blocked, push the PROBE DIA LESS THAN 5 MM(0.197IN)NON METALLIC FLEXIBLE through the hole to remove the obstruction.
(2) Find the cause of the blockage.

(3) Examine the drain holes in the outboard-flap trailing edge, between the rear spar, the L-Profile and the end ribs for blockage. If the drain holes are blocked, push the PROBE DIA LESS THAN 5 MM(0.197IN)NON METALLIC FLEXIBLE through the hole to remove the obstruction.
(4) Find the cause of the blockage.
5. Close-up(1) Examine the drain holes in the flap track fairing for blockage. If the drain holes are blocked, push the PROBE DIA LESS THAN 5 MM(0.197IN)NON METALLIC FLEXIBLE through the hole to remove the obstruction.
(2) Find the cause of the blockage.
