MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps are in the fully retracted position (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control-lever.
Subtask 57-55-11-865-078-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the flaps are in the fully retracted position (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control-lever.

Subtask 57-55-11-420-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 57-55-11-420-078-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
B. Installation of the Flap Track 2 Fairing Bracket and Link Assembly
(1) Assemble the bracket and link assembly as follows:
(a) Install the sleeve (2) into the bracket (1) and the link assembly (4).
(b) Install the bolt (3), the washer (5) and the nut (6).
(c) Torque the nut (6) to between 0.55 and 0.45 m.daN (48.67 and 39.82 lbf.in ).
(d) Safety the nut (6) with a new AIPC 57-55-05-20-100 COTTER PIN (7) or AIPC 57-55-85-24-100 PIN (7).
(3) Carefully put the bracket and link assembly in position on the wing.
(4) Install the nuts (8).
(5) Torque the nuts (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
5. Close-up(1) Assemble the bracket and link assembly as follows:
(a) Install the sleeve (2) into the bracket (1) and the link assembly (4).
(b) Install the bolt (3), the washer (5) and the nut (6).
(c) Torque the nut (6) to between 0.55 and 0.45 m.daN (48.67 and 39.82 lbf.in )
. (d) Safety the nut (6) with a new AIPC 57-55-05-20-100 COTTER PIN (7) or AIPC 57-55-85-24-100 PIN (7).
NOTE: When you install the bracket and link assembly to the wing, make sure you do not move the bracket attachment bolts.
(2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) between the mating surfaces of the wing and the bracket and link assembly. (3) Carefully put the bracket and link assembly in position on the wing.
(4) Install the nuts (8).
(5) Torque the nuts (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Install the flap track 2 fixed fairing 531EB (631EB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control-lever.

D. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the safety barriers.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
