(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps are in the fully retracted position (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control-lever.

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the fairing at flap track 2, zone 531 (631).
(2) Remove the flap track 2 fixed fairing 531EB (631EB) (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004).

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-55-11-020-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Flap Track 2 Fairing Bracket and Link Assembly

NOTE: When you remove the bracket and link assembly from the wing, make sure you do not move the bracket attachment bolts.

(1) Remove the nuts (8).
(2) Carefully remove the bracket (1) and link assembly (4) from the wing.
(3) Disassemble the bracket and link assembly as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (7).
(b) Remove the nut (6), the washer (5) and the bolt (3).
(c) Slide out the sleeve (2) and separate the bracket (1) from the link assembly (4).
