  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

   (1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control-lever.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable movable-fairing at flap track 2, 3 or 4, zone 531 (631), 532 (632) or 533 (633).

  • DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
  • MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Deactivation of the Movable-Fairing Top-Cover
   (1) At the applicable movable-fairing, remove:
  • the top-cover screws (2) and (3)
  • the tail-cone screws (5) and the nuts (6).
   (2) Remove the top-cover (1) and the related tail-cone (4).
   (3) Put a notice in the cockpit to tell persons that the top-cover (1) and the related tail-cone (4) are deactivated.
   (4) Write down in the aircraft log that the top-cover (1) and the related tail-cone (4) are deactivated.

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control-lever.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the safety barriers.
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
