WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY TEMPORARY PROTECTION SYSTEM (TPS) ON THE INSPECTION AREA. IF YOU APPLY TPS ON THE INSPECTION AREA, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever (panel 114VU) to tell persons not to operate the flaps.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 57-53-00-860-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever (panel 114VU) to tell persons not to operate the flaps.
(2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.
Subtask 57-53-00-865-127-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008). panel 114VU. (2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the flap track 3 at zone 587(687).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(3) Put the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF adjacent to the inspection area.
Subtask 57-53-00-110-088-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the flap track 3 at zone 587(687).
(2) Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-000-004):
(3) Put the LIGHT SOURCE - SPARK-PROOF adjacent to the inspection area.
E. Preparation for Inspection
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the tab lever, tab bracket, aft flap bracket, drive strut and tab rear link.
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).
4. ProcedureCAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do the inspection of the area. - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the tab lever, tab bracket, aft flap bracket, drive strut and tab rear link.
(3) Make sure that there is no TPS layer and if there is a TPS layer, remove it (Ref. AMM TASK 51-78-00-916-001).

A. Detailed Inspection of Outboard Double Slotted Flap, Tab Articulation at Track 3, LH/Rh
(1) Do an inspection of the tab lever, the tab bracket and the aft flap bracket. Make sure that:
5. Close-up(1) Do an inspection of the tab lever, the tab bracket and the aft flap bracket. Make sure that:
- there is no damage
- there is no corrosion
- there are no cracks or scores
- the surface protection is in the correct condition.

- they are attached correctly.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575300 for the correct repair procedure.
Subtask 57-53-00-410-083-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the spark-proof lamp from the inspection area.
(2) Install the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004):
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
Subtask 57-53-00-865-128-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the spark-proof lamp from the inspection area.
(2) Install the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 57-55-11-400-004):

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
