WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever (panel 114VU).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flaps.

B. General Visual Inspection of Inboard Double-Slotted Flap, External Surface of Upper and Lower Skin, LH/RH
(1) Do an inspection of the upper and lower skin external surface of the inboard double-slotted flap, LH/RH. Make sure that:

there is no damage
there are no cracks
there is no corrosion
the paint finish is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575200 for the correct repair procedure.
