B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable wing trailing edge at the pylon, zone 470 (480).

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the attachment bracket of the pylon aft fairing, and the adjacent skin.

B. Detailed Inspection of Inboard Flap, Attachment Bracket of Pylon Aft Fairing, including surrounding Skin, LH/RH
(1) Examine the attachment bracket of the aft fairing and the adjacent skin on the inboard flap. Make sure that:

there is no corrosion
there is no damage
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
the surface protection is in the correct condition.

(2) Examine the bonding strap to make sure that:

it is correctly installed
there are no signs of wear or damage.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.
