(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the zone 521(621).

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean:

the bottom-skin lower-surface between RIB1 and RIB7.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower Surface at Attachment to Front Spar, between RIB1 and RIB7, excluding area covered by Pylon Fairing and Pylon Reinforcing
(1) Examine the bottom-skin lower-surface at the attachment to the front spar between RIB1 and RIB7.
Make sure that:

there is no corrosion or damage
there are no scratches or scores
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
the surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
