Subtask 57-10-00-010-064-A

A. Get Access
(1) Open the main landing-gear doors 734 ( 744) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position, in zone 147 (148).
(3) Remove the necessary access cover(s) or/and ACT-equipment support door to get access to the inspection areas (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-000-001).
(4) Use a FLASHLIGHT for the inspection.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area

Inspection (ROTO) of the Center Wing Box, Drain Holes on Stringer 13 and Stringer 14 on Bottom Skin, Upper Surface (12 Places)

(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If it is not sufficiently clean, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or discontinuities.
(4) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:

If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.

(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):

If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-10-00-250-053-A

A. Inspection

Inspection (ROTO) of the Center Wing Box, Drain Holes on Stringer 13 and Stringer 14 on Bottom Skin, Upper Surface (12 Places)

(1) Do a special detailed inspection (ROTO) of the center wing box, drain holes on stringer 13 and stringer 14 on bottom skin, upper surface structure. Refer to Non-destructive Testing Manual NTM 571136.
(2) Make a report of damage after NDT inspection:
(a) Corrosion damage:

If you find corrosion damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 512200 for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.

(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):

If you find this type of damage, refer to Structural Repair Manual SRM 511100 for damage classification and corrective action.

5. Close-up
Subtask 57-10-00-410-063-A

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access cover(s) or/and ACT-equipment support door (Ref. AMM TASK 57-17-11-400-001).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the main landing-gear doors 734 ( 744) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
