1. Reason for the Job
Apply the double barrier protection on the IGGS Dual-Flapper Check Valve in order to achieve a waterproof barrier to fuel vapours.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 47-20-43-861-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the cabin floor panel 241EF to get access to the top of the center tank (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 47-20-43-370-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Painting procedure
   (1) Put PAPER - MASKING and TAPE - MASKING on:
     (a) The two labels,
     (b) The bonding attachment points,
     (c) The bonding leads,
     (d) The IGGS Dual-Flapper Check Valve connector.
   (2) Carefully sand the damaged paint and primer coatings with CLOTH-EMERY (GRADE 320) on the tank at the IGGS Dual-Flapper Check Valve installation area and around the IGGS Dual-Flapper Check Valve.
NOTE: Make sure that the surface is smooth and flat.
   (3) Clean the prepared and adjacent areas with a VACUUM CLEANER to remove particles of dust and dirt.
WARNING: THIS INSTRUCTION IS APPLICABLE TO A CRITICAL DESIGN CONFIGURATION CONTROL LIMITATION (CDCCL) ITEM. CAREFULLY OBEY ALL GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU DO THIS STEP. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, A DANGEROUS CONDITION CAN OCCUR THAT CAN CAUSE A POSSIBLE FUEL TANK EXPLOSION.
   (4) Apply FINCH painting on the IGGS Dual-Flapper Check Valve SRM 517512 (9. Renewal of damaged fuel tank top coating on center tank and horizontal stabilizer center tank).
