A. Operational Test of the EFB

Make sure that there is no laptop plugged in the Laptop Docking Station (LDS) before to start the test.

ACTION	RESULT
1.Energize the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS. Close the circuit breaker 41TA1(41TA2)	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS control panel: the backlight comes on the OFF legend of the DOCK STATION control switch comes on the PWR SPLY light stays off the ON light stays off.
	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB Display Unit (DU): the backlight stays off.
2.Start the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS. On the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS control panel, push the DOCK STATION control switch.	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS control panel: the backlight stays on the OFF legend of the DOCK STATION control switch comes off.
	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: the backlight comes on NOTE: On the CAPT (F/O) EFB DU, it can be necessary to push the ON/OFF pushbutton switch to start the DU. "NO VIDEO SIGNAL" comes into view.
3.Plug a laptop which is in operation inside the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS: Video cable USB cable Ethernet cable Power supply cable.	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS control panel: the PWR SPLY light comes on the ON light comes on.
	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: Video image of the laptop is comes into view on the DU.
4.Shutdown the laptop	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS control panel: the START legend of the LAPTOP control switch comes on the ON light come off.
	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: "NO VIDEO SIGNAL" come into view.
5.Start the CAPT(F/O) EFB Laptop. Push the LAPTOP control switch.	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB LDS control panel: The START legend of the LAPTOP control switch comes off the ON light comes on.
	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: Video image of the laptop comes into view on the DU.
On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: Put your finger at different location of the touchscreen.	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: the cursor moves following the finger.
On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: Push the BRT key.	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: the brightness of the screen increase.
On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: Push the DIM key.	On the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU: the brightness of the screen decrease.
6.Start the F/O(CAPT) EFB LDS. Close the circuit breaker 41TA2(41TA1). On the F/O(CAPT) EFB LDS control panel, push the DOCK STATION control switch.
On the F/O(CAPT) EFB DU: Push the VIEW OFFSIDE key.	On the F/O(CAPT) EFB DU: the video image of the CAPT(F/O) EFB DU comes into view.
On the F/O(CAPT) EFB DU: Put your finger at different location of the touchscreen.	On the F/O(CAPT) EFB DU: the cursor does not move following the finger.
