A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
(2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

(2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the access panel 161DW is removed from the aft cargo-compartment partition wall at FR65 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the access panel 161DW is removed from the aft cargo-compartment partition wall at FR65 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 38-42-43-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Check Valve
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Put the new AIPC 38-42-03-02-070 O-RING (2) in position between the air filter (1) and the check valve (3).
(6) Install the check valve (3) on the air filter (1).
(8) TORQUE the line end of the pipe (4) to between 1.1 and 0.99 m.daN (97.35 and 87.61 lbf.in )

Subtask 38-42-43-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Put the new AIPC 38-42-03-02-070 O-RING (2) in position between the air filter (1) and the check valve (3).
(6) Install the check valve (3) on the air filter (1).
NOTE: On the check valve (3), make sure that the direction of the arrow points away from the air filter (1).
(7) Connect the line end of the pipe (4) to the check valve (3). (8) TORQUE the line end of the pipe (4) to between 1.1 and 0.99 m.daN (97.35 and 87.61 lbf.in )
. B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Leak Test
(1) Make sure that the water service panel 171AL is closed.
(2) Make sure that installed air compressor starts to pressurize the potable water system.
(4) Leaks are not permitted.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the water service panel 171AL is closed.
(2) Make sure that installed air compressor starts to pressurize the potable water system.
NOTE: The air compressor starts automatically after the closure of the water service panel.
(3) Make sure that the check valve (3) does not leak. (4) Leaks are not permitted.
Subtask 38-42-43-410-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 161DW to the aft cargo-compartment partition wall at FR65 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 38-42-43-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel 161DW to the aft cargo-compartment partition wall at FR65 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
