C. Release the pressure from the potable water system.
   (1) Press the membrane switch 'WATER SYS DEPRESS' on the FAP 124RH until the light comes on.
NOTE: The light in the membrane switch comes on when the depressurization valve 4MD opens.
   (2) Operate the water faucet in the lavatories to let air into the system.
   (3) Press the membrane switch 'WATER SYS DEPRESS' on the FAP 124RH again to close the depressurization valve 4MD after the system is depressurized.
NOTE: The light in the membrane switch goes out when the depressurization valve 4MD is closed.
NOTE: In cold weather conditions the depressurization valve 4MD must stay open. Do not press the membrane switch 'WATER SYS DEPRESS' on the FAP 124RH again after the system is depressurized.
NOTE: Before flight, make sure that the light in the membrane switch 'WATER SYS DEPRESS' on the FAP 124RH is not ON.
Subtask 38-41-00-614-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Release the Pressure from the Potable Water System
   (1) Push the 'WATER DEPRESS' button on the FAP 120RH:
  • The green light in the button comes on.
  • The message 'VACUUM SYSTEM DISABLED - WATER DEPRESS ACTIVE' comes on.
  • On the aircraft symbol 'NO WATER PRESSURE' comes in view.
NOTE: The green light in the 'WATER DEPRESS' button comes on when the depressurization valve 4MD opens.
   (2) Operate the water faucet in the lavatories to let air into the system.
   (3) Return the Potable water System back to the normal condition:
     (a) Push the 'WATER DEPRESS' button on the FAP 120RH again.
     (b) The green light in the 'WATER DEPRESS' button is off.
   (4) No more messages are shown on the FAP.

Subtask 38-41-00-613-050-A
E. Fill the potable water tank with water (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 38-41-00-710-050-B
A. Do this test.
ACTION
RESULT
1.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • open the high-pressure air charging-valve and pressurize the potable water tank to 15 psi (1.0342 bar).
In the potable water air system:
  • the potable-water tank 3000MM starts to pressurize.
  • the manometer shows 15 psi (1.0342 bar).
2.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • slowly increase the pressure at the ground air-supply cart to between 39 psi (2.6890 bar) and 41 psi (2.8269 bar).
In the potable water air system:
  • the potable water system is pressurized.
  • the pressure reducing valve operates and stops the air supply to the tank (when the airflow to the tank decreases to zero).
  • the manometer shows between 25 psi (1.7237 bar) and 33 psi (2.2753 bar).
3.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • slowly increase the pressure at the ground air-supply cart to 55 -3 psi or +0 psi (3.7921 -0.2068 bar or +0.0000 bar).
In the potable water air system:
  • the pressure at the manometer does not increase.
  • there are no air leaks at the pressure reducing valve.
4.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • decrease the pressure of the ground air-supply cart back to 41 psi (2.8269 bar).
In the potable water air system:
  • the pressure at the manometer stays the same.
5.In one of the lavatories:
  • operate the water faucet.
In the lavatory:
  • water flows from the water faucet into the washbasin.
NOTE: When the pressure in the potable water system decreases, the pressure reducing valve starts the air supply to the system again.
6.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • close the high-pressure air charging-valve of the ground air connection.
