B. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the aft cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to ON.
(4) Remove partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 38-13-11-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the aft cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to ON.
(4) Remove partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
B. Get Access
(1) Get access to the cabin.
(2) Remove the right passenger seats from frame 35 to frame 36 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(3) Remove the right textile-floor covering from frame 35 to frame 36 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(4) Remove floor panel 242CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
Subtask 38-13-11-010-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Get access to the cabin.
(2) Remove the right passenger seats from frame 35 to frame 36 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(3) Remove the right textile-floor covering from frame 35 to frame 36 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(4) Remove floor panel 242CF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
B. Get Access
(1) Open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 18LU to ON.
(4) Remove partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 38-13-11-680-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 18LU to ON.
(4) Remove partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
C. Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(1) Do not close the potable water-service panel-door 171AL.

C. Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(1) Do not close the potable water-service panel-door 171AL.
(2) Examine the drain valve 14MP and make sure it is open.
Subtask 38-13-11-941-051-A (1) Do not close the potable water-service panel-door 171AL.
(2) Examine the drain valve 14MP and make sure it is open.
NOTE: If the the drain valve 14MP is not open, then you must open it manually.
D. Safety Precautions
(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
Subtask 38-13-11-865-052-A (1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position:
- in the cockpit on the Engine Control Panel 115VU to tell persons not to start the engine(s)
- in the cockpit on the AIR COND Overhead Control Panel 30VU to tell persons not to push the ENG 1 BLEED, ENG 2 BLEED and APU BLEED pushbutton switches to the ON position
- on the HP ground connection to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system
- on the Potable Water Service Panel 2023VU to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.

A. Removal of the Quantity Transmitter 3MA
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove all the connections and the attachment clamps (Ref. AMM TASK 38-11-41-000-001) but do not remove the tank.
(4) Turn the tank so that the transmitter is free for removal.
(5) Remove the nuts (4) and the washers (3).
(6) Remove the quantity transmitter (1).
(7) Put a PLUG - BLANKING into the hole in the potable water tank.
(8) Remove and discard the packing (2).
Subtask 38-13-11-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the quantity transmitter (1). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove all the connections and the attachment clamps (Ref. AMM TASK 38-11-41-000-001) but do not remove the tank.
(4) Turn the tank so that the transmitter is free for removal.
(5) Remove the nuts (4) and the washers (3).
(6) Remove the quantity transmitter (1).
(7) Put a PLUG - BLANKING into the hole in the potable water tank.
(8) Remove and discard the packing (2).
A. Removal of the Quantity Transmitter 3MA
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the nuts (4) and the washers (3).
(4) Remove the quantity transmitter (1).
(5) Put a PLUG - BLANKING into the hole in the potable water tank.
(6) Remove and discard the packing (2).
Subtask 38-13-11-020-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the quantity transmitter (1). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the nuts (4) and the washers (3).
(4) Remove the quantity transmitter (1).
(5) Put a PLUG - BLANKING into the hole in the potable water tank.
(6) Remove and discard the packing (2).
A. Removal of the Quantity Transmitter
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the connections and the clamps that are attached to the potable water tank (6) to make sure that it turns freely (Ref. AMM TASK 38-11-41-000-001).
(4) Do not remove the potable water tank (6) at this time.
(5) Turn the potable water tank (6) until the quantity transmitter (4) is free for the removal.
(6) Remove the nuts (2) and the washers (3).
(7) Remove the quantity transmitter (4).
(8) Remove the gasket (5) and discard it.
(9) Put the PLUG - BLANKING into the hole of the potable water tank (6).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the quantity transmitter (4). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the connections and the clamps that are attached to the potable water tank (6) to make sure that it turns freely (Ref. AMM TASK 38-11-41-000-001).
(4) Do not remove the potable water tank (6) at this time.
(5) Turn the potable water tank (6) until the quantity transmitter (4) is free for the removal.
(6) Remove the nuts (2) and the washers (3).
(7) Remove the quantity transmitter (4).
(8) Remove the gasket (5) and discard it.
(9) Put the PLUG - BLANKING into the hole of the potable water tank (6).
