3. Job Set-up

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) On panel 114VU, install a 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap and slat control lever.
   (3) In the cockpit, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The flaps or the slats
  • The flight controls.
   (4) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable zone 550 or 650.
4. Procedure
Subtask 28-12-00-210-061-A
A. Visual Check of the Vent Surge Tank Burst Disc (EXTERNAL)
   (1) Inspect the burst (safety) disc through the opening in access panel 550CB(650CB). Make sure that:
  • The white cross on the burst (safety) disc can be clearly seen
  • The burst (safety) disc is in one piece.
   (2) If the burst (safety) disc is damaged, do the following steps:
     (a) Replace the applicable overpressure protector assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-41-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-41-400-001).
     (b) Do an inspection of the applicable tank venting system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-12-00-200-001).
5. Close-up

A. Removal of the Equipment
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
