NOTE: The check and inspection of YZ-Door Sill Latches for A319 is applicable only to the forward cargo compartment.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the opening of the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door(s).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the control panel(s) of the cargo loading system to tell persons not to use it.

(1) Remove the screws (1) from the cover plate (2).
(2) Remove the cover plate (2) from the door sill latch (3).

A. Perform Operational Check and Detailed Inspection of YZ-Door Sill Latches
(1) Examine each door sill latch and the adjacent area for cracks, corrosion and other damage.
(2) Make sure that the overrideable Y-latch (10), the bellcrank (11) and the drawbar (12) move freely.
(3) Make sure that the manual YZ-latch (14) and the lowering lever (13) of the manual YZ-latch move freely.
(4) Make sure that the door sill latches and the drawbars are correctly attached.

B. Preparation for the Test
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-080-001).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

D. Do this Test:

ACTION	RESULT
1.On each door sill latch:	On each door sill latch:
Push the lever (13) of the manually operated YZ-latch (14) down.	The manually operated YZ-latch (14) of the door sill latch goes down. Power is available on control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2.
2.On control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2 of the cargo loading system:	On control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2 of the cargo loading system:
Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to ON.	POWER ON/OFF indicator light 7MY comes on. Power is supplied to the cargo conveyance controls. NOTE: Lower and raise the overrideable Y-latch (10) with the SILL LATCH switch at least two times.
3.On control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2 of the cargo loading system:	On the door sill latches:
Set the SILL LATCH switch to DOWN and hold it.	The overrideable Y-latches (10) of the door sill latches lower. On the door sill: The manual sill-latch lever (15) moves from the "A" position to the "C" position.
Release the SILL LATCH switch.	On the door sill latches: The overrideable Y-latches (10) of the door sill latches come up. On the door sill: The manual sill-latch lever (15) moves from the "C" position to the "A" position. NOTE: If the actuator has a malfunction and stops between its extended and retracted position: Lower and lift the overrideable Y-latches (10) manually with the manual sill-latch lever (15) The manual sill-latch lever (15) moves back to the "A" position. It stays in this position until you operate the actuator.
4.On control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2 of the cargo loading system:	On the door sill:
Set DOOR SILL LATCH switch 6MY to DOWN and hold it.	The actuator operates and the adjustment pin engages and the manual sill-latch lever (15) moves to the "C" position.
Release DOOR SILL LATCH switch 6MY.	The actuator operates and the manual sill-latch lever (15) moves to the "A" position.
CAUTION: STOP THE OPERATION IMMEDIATELY IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STARTS TO CLOSE. CORRECT THE FAILURE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE THE TEST. 5.On the door sill:	On the door sill latches:
Move the manual sill-latch lever (15) to the "D" position.	The overrideable Y-latches (10) of the door sill latches lower.
6.Move the selector of the cargo compartment door to OPEN and hold it.	YELLOW elecric pump 3075GX does not operate.
7.Release the selector of the cargo compartment door.	The selector moves to the neutral position.
8.On the door sill: Move the manual sill-latch lever (15) to the "A" position.	On the door sill latches: The overrideable Y-latches (10) of the door sill latches come up.
9.On control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2 of the cargo loading system:
Set POWER ON/OFF switch 5MY to OFF.	POWER ON/OFF indicator light 7MY goes off. The power supply to the cargo loading system is stopped.
10.On each door sill latch:	On each door sill latch:
Push the manually operated YZ-latch (14) up.	The manually operated YZ-latch (14) locks in the up position. The power supply to control panel 2020VU1 or 2020VU2 is stopped.
11.Move the selector of the cargo compartment door to CLOSE and hold it.	The cargo compartment door starts to close.
12.Release the selector of the cargo compartment door.	The selector moves to the neutral position.
13.Move the selector of the cargo compartment door to OPEN and hold it until the green light comes on.	The cargo compartment door opens and locks in the open position.
14.Release the selector of the cargo compartment door.	The selector moves to the neutral position.
CAUTION: STOP THE OPERATION IMMEDIATELY IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STARTS TO CLOSE. CORRECT THE FAILURE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE THE TEST. 15.On the door sill:	On each door sill latch:
Move the manual sill-latch lever (15) to the DOWN position.	The overrideable Y-latches (10) lower.
16.Move the selector of the cargo compartment door to OPEN and hold it.	YELLOW electric pump 3075GX does not operate.
17.Release the selector of the cargo compartment door.	The selector moves to the neutral position.
18.On the door sill:	On each door sill latch:
Move the manual sill-latch lever (15) to the UP position.	The overrideable Y-latch (10) comes up.
19.Move the selector of the cargo compartment door to CLOSE and hold it.	The cargo compartment door starts to close.
20.Release the selector of the cargo compartment door.	The selector moves to the neutral position.
21.Move the selector of the cargo compartment door to OPEN and hold it until the green light comes on.	The cargo compartment door opens and locks in the open position.
22.Release the selector of the cargo compartment door.	The selector moves to the neutral position.

(1) Install the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-480-001).

(3) Put the cover plate (2) in position on the door sill latch (3).
(4) Install the screws (1).
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
