WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE. HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
NOTE: The procedure is the same for the two air conditioning packs 10HM (11HM).

3. Job Set-up

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002):
     (a) For PACK 1
     (b) For PACK 2

C. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the panel 30VU:
     (a) Make sure that:
  • The APU BLEED pushbutton switch is in the OFF position (the ON legend is off).
  • The ENG 1 BLEED and the ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches are in the OFF position (the OFF legends are on).
  • The PACK 1 and the PACK 2 pushbutton switches are in the OFF position (the OFF legends are on).
     (b) Put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate these switches.
   (2) On the HP ground connector put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to supply the ground air.
4. Procedure
Subtask 21-51-00-440-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Reactivation of the Air Conditioning Pack
NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the pack flow-control unit with part number 1806A0000-02 or 1806B0000-01 or 1806B0000-02 or 1806D0000-01.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1)
F Pack Flow-Control Unit - Component Location ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire (2) from the pressure seal cap (3).
     (b) Remove the pressure seal cap (3) from the threaded boss (4).
     (c) Install the pressure seal cap (3) on the pack flow-control unit (1).
     (d) TORQUE the pressure seal cap (3) to between 0.55 and 0.45 m.daN (48.67 and 39.82 lbf.in ) T.
     (e) Safety the pressure seal cap (3) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (2) For PACK 1:
     (a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
  • Push the PACK 1 pushbutton switch (the FAULT and the OFF legends are off).
   (3) For PACK 2:
     (a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
  • Push the PACK 2 pushbutton switch (the FAULT and the OFF legends are off).

B. Reactivation of the Air Conditioning Pack
NOTE: This procedure is valid for the pack flow-control unit with part number 1806D0000-02.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1)
F Pack Flow-Control Unit - Component Location ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire (6) from the locking screw (7).
     (b) Remove the locking screw (7) from the hole of the manual override lever (3) and the hole of the hall sensor-plate support (2).
     (c) Apply a layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to the AIPC 21-51-51-03-160 O-RING (4).
     (d) Install the plate of the connecting cable (5) and the AIPC 21-51-51-03-160 O-RING (4) on the locking screw (7).
     (e) Apply a layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to the thread of the locking screw (7).
     (f) Install the locking screw (7) on the pack flow-control unit (1).
     (g) TORQUE the locking screw (7) to between 0.6 and 0.5 m.daN (53.10 and 44.25 lbf.in ) T.
     (h) Safety the locking screw (7) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (2) For PACK 1:
     (a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
  • Push the PACK 1 pushbutton switch (the FAULT and the OFF legends are off).
   (3) For PACK 2:
     (a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
  • Push the PACK 2 pushbutton switch (the FAULT and the OFF legends are off).
5. Close-up
Subtask 21-51-00-410-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002):
     (a) For PACK 1
     (b) For PACK 2
   (3) Remove the temporary placard from the cockpit that tells persons that one air conditioning pack is not in operation.

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
