Deactivation of the Air Conditioning Pack
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT AIR IS NOT SUPPLIED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN ENGINE, THE APU OR A GROUND SOURCE.
HOT COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
NOTE: The procedure is the same for the two air conditioning packs 10HM (11HM).

A. Deactivation of the Air Conditioning Pack
(a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:

(d) Install the pressure seal cap (3) between the forks of the forked-valve position-indicator lever (5) and on the threaded boss (4).
(e) Safety the pressure seal cap (3) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 21-51-00-040-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the pack flow-control unit with part number 1806A0000-02 or 1806B0000-01 or 1806B0000-02 or 1806D0000-01.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE COMPONENT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY
COOL TO PREVENT BURNS.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) For PACK 1:(a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the PACK 1 pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend comes on).
(a) In the cockpit, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the PACK 2 pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend comes on).
(b) Remove the pressure seal cap (3) from the pack flow-control unit (1).
NOTE: This will cause the air to flow out of the pack flow-control unit (1) and close the butterfly valve.
(c) Make sure that the forked-valve position-indicator lever (5) is in the CLOSED position. (d) Install the pressure seal cap (3) between the forks of the forked-valve position-indicator lever (5) and on the threaded boss (4).
(e) Safety the pressure seal cap (3) with

(d) Install the locking screw (7) in the hole of the manual override lever (3) and the hole of the hall sensor-plate support (2).

(c) Make sure that the hole of the manual override lever (3) is aligned with the hole of the hall sensor-plate support (2). (d) Install the locking screw (7) in the hole of the manual override lever (3) and the hole of the hall sensor-plate support (2).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002):
(a) For PACK 1:

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Put an applicable placard in position in the cockpit (refer to your standard practices and local regulations).
(5) Make an entry in the logbook.
